Children's Ear Piercing

Piercing has been a ritual or right-of-passage for people for thousands of years! This includes children as well. If your little one is expressing interest, we may be the place for you! We just want to touch on a few things in order to make your experience as easy as possible.

How young can my child be for a piercing?

We believe a child should have a choice in whether or not to pierce their body, as well as the patience to take care of a new piercing. The youngest we feel comfortable piercing a child's ears is 7 years old.

What if my child backs out?

That is okay! While we would love to see everyone who comes in leave with a fresh, shiny new piercing, full autonomy is important. If someone says they don't want to be pierced, we will not pierce them. We will not charge you if your child decides (even at the last second) that they are not ready. We encourage people (especially children) to speak up for what they need as this is a very important decision.

What can we expect when we come in?

When you get in, we'll check you in and start paperwork. After that, we will look at jewelry and go over what options may be right for your little one. This is a great time to start asking any questions you may have! Once jewelry is picked out, it will be brought back to be sterilized. While the jewelry is sterilizing, we will bring you and your little one back to prep and mark their ears. Once that is done, we perform the piercing! After the piercing, we will go over how to take care of them and provide you with a written aftercare guide (this can also be viewed and downloaded from our Aftercare section).

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must stay for the entirety of the procedure. This is the case for new piercings as well as jewelry changes. We cannot change jewelry on a minor without a parent or guardian present.
